Boys' Wolf Costume

I once said my son's 2007 doctor costume was the easiest costume ever. I was wrong. This wolf was even simpler! We cheated a little bit; we bought the mask at Sears during the post-Halloween clearance last year. (It was less than $2.) I made the tail and the tabard in less than two hours. The tail is filled with polyfil (like a stuffed animal), and it has two loops that go over his belt so it is securely attached. The tabard is simply two rectangles with grosgain ribbon attaching them at the shoulders. The time consuming part here was that cutting this "furry" fabric is a very fussy endeavor. You have to cut it from the back, in tiny little cuts (approx 1/4 inch at a time) so that you don't mangle the fur on the front side.
