A professional costumer and seamstress with a strong emphasis on historical fashion, Heidi's costumes have appeared many times in local media, both print and on-screen. She accepts commissions on a limited basis and also teaches sewing.

Her work spans nearly 900 years of fashion history — from 12th century medieval gowns through Tudor, Regency, Victorian, and Civil War periods, all the way to modern cosplay including Disney Princesses, Marvel superheroes, and characters from Neil Gaiman and Cartoon Network.
