I am a seamstress located in Southwest Florida (near Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Naples, etc). I sew for fun, and sometimes I sell my garments online (there is only so much room in my closet after all). Recently I have begun accepting special orders, on a limited basis. Right now my waiting list is about 3 months.

My designs are inspired by garments from throughout history, from the Regency period (Jane Austen’s time), the American Civil War, the Renaissance, the Medieval/ Middle Ages, and the Victorian era. I try to create costumes that evoke feelings of romance and adventure, making the wearer feel as though he or she has stepped through a doorway in time and into another era.

Among other things, I have made science fiction "con" costumes, Civil War uniforms, peasant garb, ball gowns, cloaks, capes, and corsets.

I try to keep a dress diary whenever I make something unusual or something I haven't done before, so that I can share the techniques I discover with others who might be interested.
